acid pauli is a name synonymous with certain aesthetic towards electronic music culture - both a part of the unhooked generation of that grew up experiencing his revelatory sets at places like bar 25 and fusion, and yet deeply rooted in musicality and adventurousness. bld, the second full album from martin gretschmann, (aka acid pauli), builds on his already impressive back catalogue which spans back to 2005, and includes a debut album released on nicolas jaar’s clown and sunset. over the course of the eight tracks here, gretschmann explores some of the many facets that have made him one of the most trusted artists in his field. released on his own (and nico stojan’s) label ouïe - the album is the perfect expression of the imprint’s commitment to diverse, exciting sounds, freed of the conventions of traditional club music. the album covers a number of moods and emotions, from dystopian carnivalesque vibes to moments of high intensity, through to deep melancholia and synth laden ambience. gretschmann’s well documented love of the sampler shines throughout - tracks are textured and colored with different hues from his extensive sound palette, whether it’s a part of his more psychedelic moments, or concentrated on his innate knowledge of dancefloor dynamics. as such bld sits together as a complete piece of music - to be relished just as much by blissed out home listeners as the left-field dancers.

copenhagen’s music for dreams release the special vinyl edition of the first ever artist album from ibiza legend dj pippi. entitled ‘bocadillos variados’, the 10 track double album showcases pippi’s own style of deep soulful balearic grooves and quality global house. highlights include the funky new ibiza summer anthem ‘cristal palpita’, balearic underground hit ‘la serenata’ recorded with kenneth bager, the grace jones influenced ‘make u smile’ with tuccinelli and stunning soulful track ‘so beautiful’ featuring barbara tucker. the lp also features contributions from producers and musicians j.l., victor martin (eurythmics) and ibiza luminary cesar de melero.

the omnibus band was founded by jarda zajpt and petr dikan in 1979 in czechoslovakia. having met at the electronic high school, electronics was their field of expertise. over time, petr dikan constructed several sound devices such as the Šílený fridrich (Šf, crazy frederick) keyboard and the vsd (všude samý dráty/wires everywhere) generator which he operated during the recordings and also at concerts. at that time, heavily influenced by brian eno and robert fripp from the king crimson band, jarda zajpt played the guitars, using all kinds of effects, pre-recorded tapes, and one or more interconnected tape recorders. the first record, “israels”, was produced between 1980 and 1982. in 1985, jarda zajpt swapped a guitar for a keyboard and a new member arrived – pavel zvolenský – who programmed and played the automatic percussions. martin bauer, playing the bass guitar, completed the trio. they have produced a second album, “rhythmus”, in this assembly. remastered from unreleased tape recordings. this is the first release in the framework of the project jupiter 08 – archeology of the slavic electronic sound.

zwischenfall formed in belgium in 1982 with michael sass (synths), martin urban (bass/vocals) and stephan kraemer (guitar/drums). they were united by their interest in combining electronic and traditional instruments, which developed the basis for 1982 demo recordings. by chance patrick codenys of the belgian electro pioneers front 242, heard two songs and decided to record a 4-song ep
